Acceptable Use Policy

MOED LTD, company number 17441845. Last updated 15 September 2026.

Moed introduces adults to each other in London and puts them at a real table. This policy sets out what is allowed on Moed, what is not, and what happens when someone crosses the line. It applies to every member, on the website, in the app, in messages between members, and at any meeting we arrange. It forms part of our terms of membership.

1. Who may use Moed

Moed is for adults aged 18 and over only. Every member passes a live selfie check against their profile photographs before they can take part, and we ask for proof of age where a check leaves any doubt. Accounts belonging to anyone under 18 are removed immediately and permanently, the payment is refunded in full, and we report the account where the law requires it. Nothing on Moed is directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Membership is personal. You may hold one account, it must be in your own name, and you may not sell, share, rent or transfer it.

2. Be who you say you are

Your profile must describe you, truthfully. That means your own recent photographs, your own name, your own age, and an honest account of what you are looking for. You may not use another person's images or identity, present an invented persona, or run an account on behalf of someone else.

3. What is not allowed

You must not use Moed, or anything you reach through Moed, to do any of the following.

  • Commercial sex. Offer, request, advertise or arrange escorting, prostitution, sugar arrangements, paid companionship, or any sexual service in exchange for money, gifts or anything of value.
  • Sexual content. Post or send nude, pornographic or sexually explicit images or video, including in messages. Moed is not an adult service and carries no adult content.
  • Harm to children. Post, request or share any material involving a minor in a sexual context, or attempt to contact a minor. This is reported to law enforcement without exception.
  • Trafficking and exploitation. Traffic, exploit, or facilitate the trafficking of any person, including trafficking for sexual exploitation, or aid, abet, encourage or facilitate the abuse or exploitation of any person in any way.
  • Non-consensual content. Share, threaten to share, or request intimate images or video of someone without their consent, including so-called revenge porn, or any content depicting a person without their agreement.
  • Sexual violence. Commit, threaten, promote or glorify sexual assault or sexual violence of any kind.
  • Harassment and abuse. Threaten, stalk, intimidate, degrade or repeatedly contact someone who has asked you to stop, on or off the service.
  • Hate. Attack or demean anyone on the basis of race, colour, ethnic or national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Violence. Threaten violence, glorify it, or promote groups that carry it out.
  • Fraud and money requests. Ask another member for money, a loan, a transfer, gift cards, crypto assets or investment of any kind. Romance fraud is the single clearest reason we close an account, and we close it on the first instance.
  • Selling and spam. Advertise, recruit, run a survey, promote another service or platform, chain messages, or use Moed to build a mailing list.
  • Illegal goods and services. Offer or seek drugs, weapons, stolen property, counterfeit goods, or anything else unlawful in the United Kingdom.
  • Someone else's privacy. Publish another person's address, workplace, phone number, images or private messages without their agreement, or record a meeting without consent.
  • Attacking the service. Scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, automate access to, or interfere with Moed or the accounts of other members.

4. Messaging is part of membership

Messaging between matched members is included in membership. Moed does not charge for individual messages, does not sell credits, coins, tokens or any other consumable used to talk to another member, and does not operate paid chat, pay-per-message or credit-based conversation of any kind. Nobody on Moed is paid to talk to you, and no member ever pays to be read. If you are ever asked for money to continue a conversation, it is not from us: stop, and report it.

5. Meeting in person

Moed proposes a place and an hour, and the point of the service is that you meet. We arrange public, licensed venues at ordinary hours. Please meet at the venue we name rather than at a private address, tell someone you trust where you are going, arrange your own way home, and stop the evening whenever you want to, without explanation. Anything ordered at a venue is paid by the members themselves. If a member makes you uncomfortable at a meeting, leave and tell us. We would rather hear about it once too often than once too late.

6. Reporting

Every profile and every conversation carries a report control, and reports reach a person, not a queue that nobody reads. You can also write to admin@moed.uk with the member's name, when it happened and any screenshots you have. We acknowledge reports within one working day, we do not tell the person who reported them, and we keep you informed of what we did. If you or anyone else is in immediate danger, call 999 first, then tell us.

7. What we do about it

We review every report ourselves. Depending on what we find, we may ask for an explanation, remove content, restrict an account, cancel arranged meetings, suspend the account, or close it permanently. Anything involving sexual content with a minor, human trafficking or exploitation, non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual violence, credible threats of violence, or financial fraud results in immediate permanent closure and, where the law requires it or a person is at risk, a report to the police. An account closed for breaking this policy is not refunded, and the person may not rejoin under a different name.

If you believe we got it wrong, reply to the message telling you about the decision, or write to admin@moed.uk within 30 days. A second person reviews the case and gives you a written answer.

8. Law enforcement

Requests from police forces and other authorities are handled as set out in our protocols for law enforcement.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the service grows. If a change materially affects what is allowed, we will email members before it takes effect. Questions about anything here go to admin@moed.uk.
